Wha…?

by Chris Lato

Just when you thought it was safe to embrace Barack Obama…she’s back.

Hillary Clinton is looking to play a role at convention that could end up with her asking for her name to be put in nomination alongside Barack Obama’s? You gotta be kidding. In fact, she’s probably bluffing in a hardball tactic to get a more front-and-center role at the national convention. Right? The conventions are little more than carefully scripted coronations, so how much fun would it be for the Clintons to show up and knock over the punchbowl?

It won’t happen, but it’s fun to consider…

Meanwhile, as we have discussed previously, Obama’s status as the World’s Biggest Celebrity threatens to backfire as people burn out on ObamaMania. Again, the danger for Obama is to be overexposed, leading to a bigger backlash as election day approaches and the mud really starts getting thrown in earnest.

The criticism that Obama is overexposed is resonating in some quarters. And speaking of overexposed, Paris Hilton is responding to the John McCain ad that unfavorably suggests Obama is just another vapid celebrity. Check out the video….but a note to those with sensitive ears: Hilton drops a word that rhymes with ‘riches.’ You have been warned. But I’ll tell ya what: this is pretty funny stuff.

Paris for President? She is independently wealthy, after all…
